I recently travelled with videographer  Matthew Miles  and colleague Andrew Whiteside to create a number of destination videos for  Luštica Bay , a brand new authentic real estate and travel destination in the heart of Montenegro. Having never been before we were all excited to see the country for the first time.

Arriving at dusk, we got our first glimpse of the country’s mountainous terrain, for which it is renowned, and followed the spectacular coastline all the way to Tivat.

We had only five days in Montenegro and with a jam-packed itinerary we were raring to go. We started every day capturing the sun come up over the mountains, a view we never got tired of, then headed to the country’s various villages, restaurants and attractions. Most importantly, we were able to explore every corner of Luštica Bay itself ( all 6.8million square metres… ) and envision what is to come for this exciting project.

While on site we interviewed key team members from the project, including Managing Director Samuel Meyer, Head of Real Estate Mohamed Ashour, Head of Destination Planning Omar Farid and Former Minister of Tourism & Environment Pedrag Nenezic. Each shared their insight into the project and provided us with some fantastic comments for  our resulting films , during which their passion and dedication to Luštica Bay became clear.

One of the best ways to see Montenegro is from the sea. Keeping the camera as steady as possible, we sailed around the coastline, capturing families relaxing on their ‘Pontas’, jet skis zipping around the  Bay of Kotor  and fisherman casting off from the rocks. We were also lucky enough to see the country from the air, with a helicopter ride allowing us to get a bird’s eye view of the country.

By the end of our trip, we felt like we had covered every inch of Montenegro, although were reassured to hear that we hadn’t even touched the surface of what this country has to offer. We came home with over 50 hours of footage, which created four films;  The Model ApartmentDestination Montenegro , Life in Montenegro and The Project. We hope the films represent the beauty and culture we observed during our trip…here’s to delving even deeper the next time we visit.
