On the journey to becoming one of Montenegro’s most exciting destinations, the new development of Luštica Bay is set to provide future visitors, residents and hotel guests with an insight into true Montenegrin living.

Designed and constructed by world-renowned international town developers,  Orascom Development Holding , this new town aims to not only create a  sustainable community  that will be enjoyed for generations to come, but it will also become a base for enjoying the region’s fantastic sailing, golf, outdoor activities and the area’s natural beauty. Phase one of Luštica Bay is to be delivered in 2016, and includes the very heart and soul of Luštica Bay: the marina village.

The marina village will become a popular address among nautical appassionati and lovers of the marine and seaside lifestyle. It will consist of 120 berths and will be situated on dramatic slopes that rise nearly 100 metres above the rocky shoreline. The village will also reflect the character and detail of traditional Montenegrin sea fronting and hillside towns. Flanking it on either side will be both a marina front hotel and a beach-front hotel. Nestled into the surrounding hillsides with views out to Trašte Bay, these hotels will also provide convenient access to the village.

Alongside the marina village, Montenegro’s first 18-hole golf course (a signature course designed by  Gary Player ) will offer spectacular views over  TivatThe Bay of Kotor , the Adriatic Sea and dramatic mountain ranges, whilst a selection of elegant villas will be scattered around the bay, each carefully positioned to take advantage of the Montenegrin coastline.

From the outset, the design team recognised the potential to craft homes that would be sensitively integrated into the spectacular landscape, taking full advantage of the bay’s mountainous terrain and elevated position. The resort’s signature aesthetic will reflect the region’s architectural heritage, which includes pre-Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles. Features such as stone masonry and loggias will provide charming focal points for each home, very much in keeping with local houses and traditional architecture of the region.

Luštica Bay boasts an enviable location from which to discover Montenegro’s waterfronting towns and villages as well as its picturesque islands, secret coves and charming harbours, all set alongside significant historical and cultural sites. The country’s mountainous interior, with rock-hewn monasteries, deep river canyons, wildlife reserves, glacial lakes and one of the world’s most important national parks  Durmitor , are also all easily accessible from Luštica Bay. For those inspired by ancient legends and mythical tales, the Bay of  Kotor  lies just a fifteen minute drive from Luštica Bay and is the perfect spot from which to learn more about the country’s rich past.

Keeping the development’s future residents in mind, and not forgetting the local Montenegrin community, the bay will also provide public amenities such as a medical clinic, school, sports facilities and public squares.
