It’s not always easy being green, but Luštica Bay certainly is managing it.  The Luštica Bay Development , since its conception, has continually expressed and demonstrated its utmost respect for Montenegro’s culture, tradition, beauty and above all environment. By choosing only to build and develop 6% of the total land area, the project has established its overarching aim of creating a clean, green and sustainable environment and community – and now to strengthen their case even further they have recently become members of the  Green Building Council (GBC) of Montenegro .

The GBC of Montenegro is the first and foremost organisation supporting Montenegro as an Ecological state. They aim to lead and educate society in creating a balanced and environmentally friendly living, just what Luštica Bay is also striving to achieve. Luštica Bay has been awarded the  LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)  Silver rating and as a team they not only place great emphasis on the protection of the environment but the sustainability and continuation of a community for generations to come.

Thinking big and green obviously runs in the family as its sister development,  El Gouna in Egypt , has recently been awarded the Global Green City Award. The Luštica development is applying the same principles and ethics used at El Gouna for the construction of Luštica Bay. They have assured construction and operation will be of the highest environmental standards, so rest assured Montenegro will retain its charm, beauty and unfolding green landscape!
