More than 150 amateur chefs from 16 teams, gathered this Saturday at Tivat’s Pine promenade, to showcase their cooking skills at the festival dedicated to a “mother of all salads” – dandelion, during the annual “Žućenica fest”.
This is the 13th edition of this festival, with more than 200 dishes served during the event, including the team of Luštica Bay, who participated for the second time.
With colorful and delicious dishes made from dandelion, our team grabbed the attention of festival visitors, and the mastery is probably best described by the fact that all of our specialties were gone in under 20 minutes!
City orchestra of Tivat opened this year’s festival with mini-concert, while Jelena Kažanegra and group “Exodusi” entertained visitors after the official part of “Žućenica fest” ended.
Women’s Association of Risan, NGO “Harlekin”, Women’s Association of Donja Lastva, Radio Tivat and NGO “Njeguška trpeza” were some of the participants that took part at this year’s festival, as well as chefs from Poland and Hungary who gave this year’s festival an international character.
The official speakers at the opening ceremony were Mašo Čekić, one of the founders of the festival, as well as Director of Tourist organization of Tivat Gabrijela Glavočić, while festival itself was organized by Women’s Association of Tivat, Radio Tivat and Tourist organization of Tivat.
