Montenegro is one of the top Mediterranean stopping-points for the world’s biggest, sleekest and most impressive vessels. With more than 300km of Adriatic coastline, edged by mountains up to 1000m high, and bordered by sandy beaches, there’s plenty to discover. This is some of the most impressive scenery that Europe’s coastlines have to offer.
The deep, clear waters and the state-of-the-art facilities are perfect for superyachts, while the vast fjord of the Bay of Kotor (a UNESCO World Heritage site) provide a natural sheltered harbour from the open sea.
Some superyachts arrive from all over the world, converging on Montenegro in early summer. Some are based here, and are available to charter (complete with crew) from companies such as Montenegro Yacht Charter and Hoa Yachting .
On shore, there are the historic towns of Kotor , Budva and Herceg Novi, with bars and restaurants chic enough to tempt you off even the slickest yacht.
