With the continued success of previous posts on accommodation in Montenegro, here’s another about the best hotels in the region, from lively Budva, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor, to the mountain resort Kolasin.

Tivat

Regent Porto Montenegro
The Regent Porto Montenegro, which opened in August 2014, is the latest addition and central piece in the evolving marina community that is Porto Montenegro. This spectacular waterfront property, with its terracotta roofs, is inspired by the Italianate palazzi around the Bay and is tribute to the area’s 400 years under Venetian rule. The hotel offers expansive views of the sea surrounded by mountains. Guests can immerse themselves in the 5* services of the hotel with a fine dining restaurant, cigar lounge, library bar, spa, signature fitness centre, and infinity and outdoor pools.

Kotor

Forza Mare
The chic Forza Mare celebrates unparalleled views over the stunning Bay of Kotor. The hotel is situated in Dobrota, 3 km away from the quaint Kotor Old Town. Right on the water’s edge, Forza Mare is a great spot from which to watch the notorious Montenegrin sunset over the bay. Also worth noting is the spa and wellness centre replete with Turkish bath and sauna.

Budva

Aman Resort, Sveti Stefan
Photos of Montenegro often include images of the iconic islet Sveti Stefan. Situated on this islet is the serene Aman Sveti Stefan. Within this Aman Resort, guests will find cobbled streets, charming courtyards and remarkable sea views, not to mention the famed Aman Spa which uses the highest quality of natural, organic ingredients.

Hotel Splendid
Hotel Splendid is just 3 kilometres away from lively Budva and its historical Old Town, the oldest settlement on the Adriatic. The 322-room hotel sits right on the sea front and has its own private beach, which enjoys a particularly buzzing atmosphere in the summer. Guests can indulge in traditional Montenegrin cuisine and a range of international food from the three restaurants, enjoying sun-downers in one of four bars. Furthermore for those keen on a spa treatment or two, Hotel Splendid has one of the largest spa centres in Montenegro.

Podgorica

Ziya Hotel
At the foot of the Gorica Hill sits the exclusive, boutique Hotel Ziya Podgorica, with 28 luxury suites and well-equipped spa and wellness centre.

Kolasin

Bianca Resort and Spa
The sophisticated Bianca Resort & Spa is situated in Montenegro’s premier ski resort, Kolasin. With an enchanting chalet ambience and the Energy Clinic Spa Club with 25-metre indoor pool and state of the art fitness centre, the Bianca Resort is the perfect place to return to after a gruelling day on the slopes.
